SAHS Historic Walking Tour

September 27, 2023

On this historic walking tour you will hear tales of southern charm, Indian Chiefs, the big screen, and zombies. You'll learn about the Native American Creek Indians that helped name Senoia and the settlers from South Carolina who helped establish our city.

You'll see a variety of architecture that spans from the 1830’s through current times. You’ll see homes that were built by soldiers returning from the Civil War and one that was used as a children’s hospital. There’s even a house that was once a Presbyterian church. You’ll walk streets that were once a closed television set and you’ll enjoy the charm and quaintness that makes Senoia a “great place to live”.

This walking tour is between 60 and 90 minutes depending on your pace. And if you stop in at the shops and restaurants in downtown Senoia, you could spend the whole day.

For only $6.99 it's safe to say it's one of the best experiences you'll find in Senoia. You pay the $6.99 when you purchase the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, and the purchase allows you to enjoy the tour as many times as you like. A portion of the proceeds from each app purchase goes to the SAHS.

You can view and download a PDF describing the tour below, and a few images of the many homes included on the tour are also included below..

Have fun, learn more about the history and heritage of Senoia and help support the SAHS by taking the tour!
